How should Christians respond to Islam?

As it becomes more and more popular to share things on the internet, the more rubbish we become exposed to. And some of the rubbish that I’ve seen has been made by Christians in regard to Islam. Food & Cultural Identity

It seems like one of the strongest things we associate with cultures is food. Even before music, movies or anything else, we will still always think of curry in association with India before we think of Bollywood (or is this just me?).

And so I’ve been thinking, what food have us white people got to offer the world? Our taste palette seems to be fairly bland. It seems like just about every other country in the world has something of exciting flavour to offer! Continue reading

Genesis 11

The story of the Tower of Babel is a curious one. The stated purpose was to build:

a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves and not be scattered over the face of the whole earth.

With the whole world being one ethne with one language, why did they need to make a name for themselves? There was no other nation(s) for them the compete with and gain a reputation. The only other name with which they could compete was the Name of God. And so the actions which God took consequently make a lot more sense! Continue reading
